Here at USDA, we care about our volunteers because they are the engine of our institution!

The Volunteers are the foundation of USDA.  This group of people includes youth and adults, students and professionals who devote part of their time to performing social work to support our beneficiaries.

The USDA Volunteer group is comprised of local (Peruvian) volunteers as well as foreign volunteers.

Requirements to be a Volunteer:

  • Be of age (18 years or older). If underage, the volunteer must have parental authorization to volunteer.  Additionally, an adult must accompany him/her to all activities and volunteer projects.
  • Have and demonstrate social sensitivity to all the problems that our society faces, especially the problems related to poverty.
  • Get involved, in a responsible way, in the volunteer activities by adhering to the schedule of programs and completing required assignments.
  • Have time available to perform the volunteer work according to the schedule of programs.
  • Possess adequate physical and mental health.  If you have any health issues, you must inform the Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Show a capacity for teamwork.
